Where Do Stem Cells Originate?

The Stem Cells that Dr. Neel Amin uses in his practice are called Mesenchymal Stem Cells. They are taken from the Wharton’s Jelly in a human umbilical cord. These umbilical cords are donated by women after childbirth.

What’s important to remember is that the stem cells retrieved from an umbilical cord are not attached to any particular DNA, which means they are pluripotent stem cells that haven’t been assigned a use—yet.

When these stem cells are injected into, for example, a hip joint, they act as a catalyst to rejuvenate your own lazy stem cells and help them begin to reproduce.
